Our Land

Less than a mile from our tasting room at 1,300 feet elevation, Adagio Vineyards stretches across 44 acres bordered by Grassy Creek.

Our Grapes

Seven acres of vines produce five varietals:

  • Cabernet Franc is one of the most successful red wine grapes grown in the Yadkin Valley. Our estate Cabernet Franc produces elegant wines with notes of red berries, subtle spice, and light herbal character.

  • Merlot thrives in our North Carolina vineyard, offering a smooth and approachable red wine style. Expect ripe plum and dark cherry flavors with a soft, rounded mouthfeel

  • Arandell is a disease-resistant hybrid grape ideally suited to the southeastern climate. Grown sustainably in our vineyard, Arandell produces deeply colored wines with bold dark fruit flavors and earthy undertones.

  • Chardonnay is a classic white wine grape grown worldwide, and it performs beautifully in the Yadkin Valley. Our estate Chardonnay showcases bright fruit character, balanced acidity, and refined texture.

  • Traminette is an aromatic white wine grape well-suited to North Carolina vineyards. Known for floral aromas, citrus notes, and gentle spice, our estate-grown Traminette expresses freshness and complexity.

Why Hybrids?

Arandell and Traminette are French-American hybrids celebrated for their vibrant flavors and resilience — wines that flourish in the Yadkin Valley’s unique climate.
